General Anesthesia

General anesthesia is a type of sedation that generally takes place under the care of a professionally trained anesthesiologist, separate from the dentist performing the dental procedure. The child will be completely asleep the entire time, and will feel no pain. Intubation with a breathing tube and placement of an IV occur with general anesthesia.

As one of the only pediatric dentists in the area to offer this unique service, we have the distinctive ability to understand the specific needs of children who need dental care but cannot cooperate for safe dental treatment. Through general anesthesia, you can eliminate the struggles and trauma that can lead to a lifetime fear of dental treatment for your child.
